You have questions, I’ve got answers

  • During all new client sessions, we have a brief discussion where we go over new client paperwork, discuss options & goals for your session then set up a plan. The remaining time, we get to work!

  • While a big focus of my current and previous education and employment has been athletic training and orthopedics based with youth, high school & collegiate athletes - I also have experience working with a variety of populations both in massage therapy and out. These include: volunteering in hospice, working with individuals that may be medically complex and those living with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

During my time at NWHSU for massage therapy, I was provided the opportunity to complete clinical rotations at MN Oncology clinic, Pathways and De Rusha Clinic.

  • Before & After: It will always be encouraged to wear what is most comfortable to you. Even if that means bringing a change of clothes.

During your massage: The same as above. Whatever you're most comfortable in.

  • Plan to arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment. I do my best to start at your scheduled start time so we can maximize the time we have together.

Should you arrive late, I understand things happen, please keep in mind this may affect time spent receiving a massage.

  • Tips aren’t expected here. The prices are listed as a direct reflection of my experience, knowledge and education.

No math for either of us.

  • This is up to you.

Many people use this to enjoy some relaxation and even fall asleep while others prefer to talk during their. Either or a little of both are fine with me!

  • Let’s break the options all down a little for you:

Deep Tissue Massage Sometimes also called ‘clinical massage’. These approaches involve slower strokes and provide a massage to the ‘deeper’ layers of fascia.

Relaxation Massage: Sometimes also referred to as ‘Swedish Massage’. These approaches utilize long relaxing strokes to calm your nervous system and encourage exactly as the name implies, relaxation. These target more superficial layers of fascia

Cupping Massage: Coming from ancient healing methods and is a therapeutic technique that uses suction to lift skin & fascia to assist in bringing blood flow to an affected area.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Massage (IASTM): This soft-tissue technique uses instruments, typically stainless steel, that provides a mechanical approach to massage. Causing ‘microtrauma’ to an affected area, it ‘jumpstarts’ an inflammatory response to healing.

Trigger Point Therapy: Have you ever had a ‘knot’? TPT applies pressure to ‘knots’ in muscles and assists in releasing the tension & discomfort.

These options can be incorporated into your session & many can be utilized together with one another at Flourishing Life Massage.

  • Any cancellation or attempts to reschedule within 24 hours prior to the appointment will be considered canceled and you will be charged 50% of the service.

“No show” clients will be charged the full-amount for their missed appointment. Clients who do not arrive within 10 minutes of their appointment will be considered a “no show.”

The card you put on file when making the appointment will be the card that is charged.

  • Definitely not! We will only work where YOU feel comfortable or where you are wanting to work!

  • When you schedule a session, you will put a credit card on file. When your massage is finished, I will ask if you want to pay with the card on file or pay with a different method.
